Briggs Supercenter is happy to have learned that Chrysler Group was recently named the automotive sponsor of the 79th Annual McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which takes place in Chicago, Illinois. Thanksgiving Day is known for its traditions, and it’s no secret that Thanksgiving/Holiday parades are one of the oldest traditions dating back to the founding of our great nation.
The Thanksgiving Day parade in question will take place on the morning of Thanksgiving-Thursday, November 22, 2012- between 8:00-11:00 AM (CST).
As the official automotive sponsor, Chrysler Group’s presence will be felt on a grand scale as nearly 30 vehicles will be on hand to be used in the parade, or to aid parade organizers. The 2013 Ram 1500, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango will be used to pull multiple floats in the parade-including Santa Claus and his sleigh. Several other Chrysler Group vehicles will also be present in this year’s Thanksgiving Day parade, including; the Chrysler 200 convertible, Fiat 500 Cabrio and Jeep Wranglers. The previously mentioned vehicles will be used to transport both celebrities and public figures making an appearance in this year’s parade.
Phil Purevich, Chicago Festival Association’s Executive Director, discussed the excitement surrounding this year’s event knowing Chrysler Group vehicles will be present, stating that, “We’re honored to have Chrysler Group on board for the second year as the official automotive sponsor of the 2012 McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade. Chrysler is generously providing vehicles for our use, including transportation for many staff and volunteers working hard to make this event happen.”
